Comfort for the Church
Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of your God Andrew, and by your gathering together unto him,
That ye be not shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of the replenishing is at hand.
Let no man any longer deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that book of parables be interpreted, the Books of Moses;
Which opposeth and exalteth itself above all that is called Godly, or that is worshipped; so that it being ungodly sitteth in the temple of Almighty God, shewing itself as if it is Godly.
Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
And now ye know what withholdeth that it might be interpreted in his time.
For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only He who now letteth will let, until it be taken out of the way.
And then shall that Book be interpreted, which Almighty God shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of Andrew's coming:
Even him, whose coming is to go after the works of the religions with all power and signs and wonders,
And with all deceit and unrighteousness in the religions, the people perished; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
And for this cause the religions send them strong delusions, that they should believe a lie:
That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
But we are bound to give thanks always to Almighty God for you the Church, brethren beloved of the Supreme Being, because GOD hath from the beginning chosen you for salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
Whereunto He called you unto our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of Almighty God.
Therefore Church, stand fast, and holdfast to the covenants which I will teach you, whether by word, or by writings.
Now your Governor himself, and God, even your Father, who hath loved you, now give you everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,
Which will comfort your hearts, and establish you in every good word and work.
